How To Get Started With Mockups

In this article, you'll learn the basics of creating Mockups with ClickDesigns.

STEP 1:

After you've logged into your ClickDesigns account and are on your dashboard, click on the "Templates" section at the top of your navigation bar.

From the "Templates" section, choose the "Mockups" category.

The Mockups section includes different sub-categories of templates for you to choose from and work with. The following Mockup categories include Monitors, Laptops, Tablets, Phones, and Displays.

Since this is going to get you started with ClickDesigns Mockups, let's try making a Mockup sample for each category.

STEP 2:

For Monitors, under the "Monitors" tab, you can either "Start From Scratch," or feel free to scroll through the given templates. For this tutorial, let's do the latter. Simply hover over a template you want to work with and click on the "Edit" icon.

Here, you can edit both the image and color of your Mockup.

Click on the "Colors" tab to adjust the Mockup color to your liking.

Next, click on the "Images" tab and then "Edit" under Monitor Image to open up the ClickDesigns Editor.

Now, you have the option to either work on the given template, change the template with something else entirely, or utilize a ClickDesigns design you have saved on your account.

To browse through other already-made templates; click on the "Templates" tab under Designs. You can browse through said templates and click on one top upload to your canvas.

To browse through your already-made designs; click on the "My Designs" tab under Designs. You can browse through your already-made designs and click on "Use" to upload to your canvas.

When finished with your edits, click "Save & Exit."

Here, you can preview your current Monitor Mockup.

Click on "Save" to finalize your edits. Clicking on "Exit" will bring you back to your ClickDesigns dashboard (with your Mockup still saved!) and clicking on "Export" will export your Monitor Mockup to your local drive.

STEP 3:

For Laptops, under the "Laptops" tab, you can either "Start From Scratch," or feel free to scroll through the given templates. For this tutorial, let's do the latter. Simply hover over a template you want to work with and click on the "Edit" icon.

Here, you can edit both the image and color of your Mockup.

Click on the "Colors" tab to adjust the Mockup color to your liking.

Next, click on the "Images" tab and then "Edit" under Monitor Image to open up the ClickDesigns Editor.

Now, you have the option to either work on the given template, change the template with something else entirely, or utilize a ClickDesigns design you have saved on your account.

For Tablets, under the "Tablets" tab, you can either "Start From Scratch," or feel free to scroll through the given templates. For this tutorial, let's do the latter. Simply hover over a template you want to work with and click on the "Edit" icon.

Here, you can edit both the image and color of your Mockup.

Click on the "Colors" tab to adjust the Mockup color to your liking.

Next, click on the "Images" tab and then "Edit" under Tablet to open up the ClickDesigns Editor.

Now, you have the option to either work on the given template, change the template with something else entirely, or utilize a ClickDesigns design you have saved on your account.

For Phones, under the "Phones" tab, you can either "Start From Scratch," or feel free to scroll through the given templates. For this tutorial, let's do the latter. Simply hover over a template you want to work with and click on the "Edit" icon.

Here, you can edit both the image and color of your Mockup.

Click on the "Colors" tab to adjust the Mockup color to your liking.

Next, click on the "Images" tab and then "Edit" under Phone to open up the ClickDesigns Editor.

Now, you have the option to either work on the given template, change the template with something else entirely, or utilize a ClickDesigns design you have saved on your account.

To browse through other already-made templates; click on the "Templates" tab under Designs. You can browse through said templates and click on one top upload to your canvas.

To browse through your already-made designs; click on the "My Designs" tab under Designs. You can browse through your already-made designs and click on "Use" to upload to your canvas.

When finished with your edits, click "Save & Exit."

Here, you can preview your current Phone Mockup.

For Displays, under the "Display" tab, you can either "Start From Scratch," or feel free to scroll through the given templates. For this tutorial, let's do the latter. Simply hover over a template you want to work with and click on the "Edit" icon.

Here, you can edit both the image and color of your Mockup.

Click on the "Colors" tab to adjust the Mockup color to your liking.

Next, click on the "Images" tab and then "Edit" to open up the ClickDesigns Editor.
