How To Add Outlines To Text & Shapes

In this article, you'll learn the easy step-by-step process of adding outlines to text and shapes on the ClickDesigns Editor.

STEP 1:

After you've logged into your ClickDesigns account and are on your dashboard, we're going to need to launch the ClickDesigns Editor. To do this, click on "Templates" if you want to start from scratch or utilize a pre-made design. You can also click on "My Designs" if you already have an existing graphic.

In this case, let's try working with a blank canvas. An option to do this would be to click on "Templates" - and feel free to choose from any of the diverse categories that ClickDesigns has to offer.

Since we're going to be working with a blank canvas, click on "Start From Scratch."

Choose a design type, then, click "Continue."

STEP 2:

This is going to open up the ClickDesigns Editor.

STEP 3:

Next, let's add a text box to our design. To do this, click on the "Text" category on the side of the Editor.

Next, choose "Add New Text Layer."

This is going to add a Text Box to your canvas. Here, feel free to customize it to your liking.

STEP 4:

To add an outline or "stroke" to your text, simply scroll through the Text Settings and choose "Stroke."

From here, you can customize both the outline color and width.

STEP 5:

Now, let's try adding outlines to shapes. To do this, click on the "Shapes" category on the side of the Editor.

Next, choose a shape to add to your canvas. For this tutorial, I choose a shape from the "Curves" category.

STEP 6:

To add an outline or "stroke" to your shape, simply scroll through the Shape Settings and choose "Stroke."

From here, you can customize both the outline color and width.

And Voila! That's how easy it is to seamlessly add an outline to both your text and shape/s on ClickDesigns.
